Finally found this particular rifle at KYGunCo and picked it up this morning. Henry Big Boy .357Mag 16" with large loop.
It's a nice looking gun as most everything Henry puts out is decent looking for the money. Trigger is OK...not bad, not great. Seems to shoot right to point of aim with some informal function testing. I hit all the sticks, leaves and dirt clods I was aiming at between 15 and 30 ish yards. I used Armscor 158gr JFP ammo. One little hiccup with a fail-to-feed...just backed off the lever and tried a second time and it chambered fine. Aside from the that the action is typically Henry smooth. There are a few sharp edges on the sights and the lever. I'll need to put a wrap of some sort on it eventually.
Henry says the carbine holds 7 rounds. But I loaded 8 into the tube without incident. 9 rounds of .357Mag in a fairly compact rifle package is pretty decent. I love lever guns in general but this might quickly become one of my favorites.
