S&W thread

Thought I might start a S&W thread since I don't see one. My thoughts are mainly for revolvers, but semiauto posts won't be shunned by me . I'll start with one of my personal faves, my 4" model 57 no dash in 41 Mag. Great cartridge IMO, and as a reloader its really no more costly than other revolver rounds. This one is also a "3T" gun, having target grips/target hammer/target trigger.

I married into this one. Model 36...belonged to my wife's father way back when he was a detective in Corpus Christi. When I first saw it the action wouldn't even turn because of all the crap in it and the oil congealing. Took it apart and gave it a good cleaning and a lube job, now it's smooth as silk. Too bad the grip medallions are in rough shape.

I had one just like that, except in nickel. P&R, target hammer/trigger/stocks, etc. The onliest issue she ever did have was an occasional tendency to walk the ejector rod loose.

Then I let my cousin talk me out of it…

Time for a thread revival. Just picked this up a few days ago. I was able to rationalize buying because of the rebate. "Yes, dear, it was expensive but there's a rebate. I'm saving $50 by buying it now. Don't you get it?"
