So I was out shooting my K31 and remembered how much I like the straight pull action. This seems to be a reoccurring theme, taking it out, shooting it, loving it and telling myself to look into other straight pull rifles. Then I put it back in the safe and it might be a few years before it gets shot again and I just lose the enthusiasm..
Anyways, what's the word on the Savage Impule? Good? Bad? Meh? Seems well engineered by my non-engineering standards. Never even seen one in person, nor hear much talk about them on the forums I frequent. I know that Savage rifles were well regarded a few years ago, but my Savage experience is just with classics. Has anyone shot one or looked into it?
