Just curious if any of y’all ever turned your .45 pistol up to 11. I keep looking at their website and since they’re just over yonder in Tulsa… weeeell.

Nossir. Never considered it. My expensive ammo funds have been spent elsewhere
I have only been looking at the conversions, I’m glad you said that about the ammo. I just about crawfished into a black hole. That’s kinda steep for not that much gain. Makes a helluva case for full hop 10mm.

Yeah, I hear that on the reloading. I’ve been picking up brass my whole life. I have presses and dies and primers and powder and stuff. I just don’t have a dedicated space yet, but that’s coming Lord willing. It’s on my list. I’d show you that list but I don’t have all day to roll it back up. 🤣 Building a mechanical list roller is on the list too.

I just took an old computer desk from Target (it was real wood) and put a low shelf in and the cut a top out of two sheets of 3/4 furniture plywood and glued and screwed it to the top and used 3/4 hardwood edge banding. Then bolted my loader to it and shoved it against the wall in my barn. I made an extension for my Redding single stage on the end. It took a day and it was all scrap wood. Shit like that I’ll go full on swampratt except I’ll buy hardware and new stuff. My cheap only goes so far

Back in 2003, Johnny Rowland showed up to the very last SOF 3-gun match at Raton N. M. We were done shooting for the day and a bunch of us were shooting one of the rifle stages for side bets. 12"x12" steel plates at 400 yards. Johny had a little AR carbine in 460 and we were trying to hit the plates. Maybe getting 3-4 for 10 rounds off hand. The hold over was pretty substantial and the backdrop was just the side of a hill, no definite point of aim. Johny produced his 1911 and with the first shot knocked down one of the plates. He smiled that big grin of his and said "I know when to put this back in the holster". It was a hell of a shot with a 1911!
