Barrel threading

At that point it's just a pipe or an axel with a hole bored through it. 😁
1/2"X24 thread pitch is a bit different, most 1/2" is 28 thread pitch, but anyone with machine knowledge can do any pitch.

Most 1/2" barrels and suppressors are 28 threads per inch. 5/8" barrel cuts, like on 308/6.8SPC/6.5 G are 24 TPI. I know you know what you are doing, but I'd hate to see a momentary lapse cost you an inch of barrel. I really am just trying to be helpful, as I have messed up this very thing by going 5/8"X28, when I ment to tell them 5/8" X24.... Sh*t!!!

It’s going to be 1/2 28. It’s for a mossberg 223. Muzzle diameter is .75, so it can be cut down a little and treaded. It’s for my brother.

Barrel OD is definitely something I'll pay better attention to moving forward. Or just buy something already threaded.

I have a Tikka at this place right now. It's off NW 15th and Rockwell.

He's cutting it to 18" and threaded it 1/2x28 with an adaptor to 5/8x24. Said cost was going to be 115-120. My shooting buddy has had 4 rifles done by him and recommended him. I have his 6.5 PRC he cut and threaded doing load development on it and it looks very nice. Nice crown, threading looks great and true.
