So, I'm sick and tired of the haphazard way my handguns are stored, mostly in silicon socks stuffed in various nooks and crannies in the safes, often piled up on top of each other. So I finally decided to do semething about it. I have a friend who can build cabinets, does a good job, so I talked him into building me cabinet for my safe with narrow drawers where I can just lay them flat and keep them in there. It will be made out of walnut, but what should the drawers be lined with so I don't mark them up or induce rust. I was thinking felt, but if anyone has any better suggestions, I'm all ears.
