Even if they gained the same functionality as the Garmin, which I don't think they could.... they are like 8x the size. You have to really aim the LR to get a good read, and the Garmin you can just set out and go for it. Much wider "window " to catch a reading.

Jeff on the Taofledermaus YouTube channel has been using a Labradar for a little while now (IIRC, Labradar sent it to him to use). The biggest drawbacks I’ve seen in his usage is that his unit has a speed range that has to be set to Pistol or Rifle, so it has trouble when they’re trying to chrono loads that are in-betweeners—just a little too fast for the Pistol setting or just a little too slow for the Rifle setting.
Sometimes it just doesn’t register anything, but that could be because he’s usually testing unorthodox projectiles that sometimes fly in unorthodox trajectories…
I seen a guy at the range use a labradar at the range I would still like to try one. My nephew has a garmin that I can use when he is home but he is never at home lol
