Glock trigger job

I’ve got a Glock 23, 48, and 20 that I will be doing a trigger polishing job on. The 48 and 20 will be getting the Double Diamond connector and a complete polish job. The 23 will only get a complete polish. I’ll check the pull weight/reset before I start and check it again once I’m finished to see if it was worth the effort and cost. Now I only need a warm weekend garage day to get started. More to follow once I’m finished.

The G48 stock trigger pull was 6lbs 12oz. After polishing everything and adding the Double Diamond connector, the pull weight dropped to 3lbs 15oz. Next up is the G20

I shot for Glock back in the 90s. I have tried just about every way to make them better trigger wise. Polish and connector is about the best you can hope for. One other trick that works well is stone the cruciform at an angle so only half contacts the striker. This is reliable and decreased a lot of friction between cruciform and striker. Titanium strikers with lightened springs work well, but is sometimes primer hardness sensitive. BUT I can tell you a bunch of ways that don't work! Don't heat and reprofile the cruciform, don't custom bend trigger return springs, don't stone flats on the trigger bar to make it ride on only a sharp corner on the connector, drilling and tapping the trigger for an over travel screw...... Cyclic rate is really impressive when you trip the boundary!!!

I thought about stoning the cruciform and decided against it. I can still try it if I choose, I’ve got plenty of different stones to use.

My gen 5 G20 had the best stock trigger out of the three with the G48 being absolutely horrendous. The G20 now has a pull weight of 3lbs 11oz but it’s still much, much better than the G48
