There’s a guy in tardland that has a Surefire M600AA with Surefire tape switch for 225. He just listed it this evening. Says it’s had no rounds fired on it, never mounted comes with box. If you want I can nab it for you.
You ever used a X300 on a long gun?
I have a X300 on my P226 and a M640DF on my SBR....and I'm thinking next rifle light I get will be another X300. I like it's throw and pattern quite a bit more than the M640DF...and it's tiny. Never see people talk about "pistol" lights being used on long guns.

My SBS, my SBR, my bedside pistol, my 9mm PCC, my varmint 22 rifle, and my competition Glock all have TLR1-HL's. I'm not as cool as some of y'all are, budget wise. I just found something I liked and stuck with it...

It’s funny you ask that. In between the SF 950 series and the L3 XM200, we were issued the M3X…which is a plastic version (predecessor) of the X300. The M3s and M6s were also branded for streamlight. I like them all for rifles and pistols.
I was just talking to a buddy today about what the new hotness is in gunlights for rifles. So Crane no longer has a gunlight program and most everyone uses leftover XM200s, SF of whatever flavor, and X300s on rifles. He said most are buying X300s and it was his preferred light, and even TLRs. Most just use the buttons on them because they’re easy vs a pressure pad.
It took a little bit of figuring on my SBR to get it laid out the way I like, but I have found myself referring a pressure pad over just the tail cap button. Not sure if it is still available, but I kind of went down the rabbit hole before and you could get a new end cap and pressure pad for the X300.
