What propane company ya'll use, price/gallon & minimum delivered?

Since gauge reading 20% this morning I ordered 150 gallons delivered from OLG lexington (used them since 96'), thats most they'll fill a 250 gallon tank.

150 delivered including norman's sales tax is $366.36, breaks down to $2.44/gallon.

Back in 96' 150gal from them was $65 delivered hahaha.

In old days before I bought my place, I used to haul a couple of the 100lb tanks I had to buck's propane east main & 12th street, iircc fill both tanks was $25.

When buck passed, his daughter pat & her man grotts ran it, iircc fill both tanks was $32, they sold out to suburban, price went up to $35/tank, the uhaul on lindsay was about $10 cheaper.

But I still got two of the 100 pounders, figure I ought to fill them jic.

I travel with my camper and have a coupler of 100 pound tanks. Im filling them at tractor supply and it costs me between 65 and 75 to fill them from empty.

Propane prices are usually cheapest in Aug or Sep. We filled up with a local company in Ada in Sep at $1.89 gal. We fill our 500 gal tank around that time frame every year and use about 150 gals year.

Yes it's cheaper in summer, but I had approx 35% in my tank & minimum delivery is 150 gallons, since I've got a 250gallon tank I have to wait till tank gets to 20% or less.

150 will take it up to 80% which is max per safety regs so it's got room for expansion etc.

Like my 100lb tanks hold approx 23.5 gallons, most propane yard hands will only fill to approx 19 to 21.5 gallons meet that safety reg.

20lb tanks most times only got 14 to 16lbs, some newbie hands will fill to 17 or more.

I'm thinking it's time to shop around for a new propane place(s), that way when I need to fill the tank end of year I can can call around find who is cheaper.
