I used to have a canoe, but I think we sold it in the estate sale.

That’s the boat ramp at Ralph’s Resort just up the road from the dam.

ETA: you have to go under the railroad bridge to get out on the main body of the water. It’s pretty cool when a train goes across it. The track gets used often because of the Dolese plant down the road.

I’ve got a good bass boat, but I’ve promised my wife that I’ll finish the stalls in our new horse barn tomorrow. Your John boat would be perfect for the lake. It’s a shallow stumpy lake, and the water is currently being pumped from Ellsworth to Lawtonka which only makes it worse. One has to be careful on Ellsworth, or you can tear some shit up pretty easily.
