Just to put it in perspective for me, I opened up a mapping app and drew a line from my backyard out to 4 km. It was hard to wrap my mind around it. And a two fer at that.

There comes a point in time when a shoulder fired rifle’s ballistics enters into the realm of artillery. That being the case, with enough time and ammunition a hit will eventually happen.
This is a lesson in outcomes based on unknowns from a previous outcome of unknowns while using the best you can reload and afford. All for the pleasure of boasting, I once hit a 24”x24” steel plate one time out of X shots at 5,000m. Give me a howitzer and I’ll make the steel plate and wind sock disappear on the first shot and I won’t brag about it.
