Sightron Optics

Anybody own or used a scope manufactured by Sightron? It looks like some are manufactured in the Philippines and some in Japan. They appear to be competitively priced. I’m not actively searching for a new scope, but I saw these advertised on another site. Any thoughts about them is appreciated.

I have purchased a couple of rifles that wore sightron scopes. One was a 3-9 and the other was higher powered but I don’t remember exactly what. They both felt cheap to me and i no longer own either. I never shot or hunted with them, and both were on the lower end of the sightron line, but those particular scopes weren’t for me.

All Sightrons that are Japanese made are really good scopes and worth the money. If you can get a Japanese Sightron for a good price, do it.

The Filipino scopes on the other hand are still Filipino and I wouldn’t own one. They’re kinda cheap compared to the Japanese scopes…kinda like the mid grade vortexes.
