Goddamned walmart
Stopped in at south norman walmart for the tle pit crew oil change, not a bad deal for 5/30 synthetic blend quakerstate, filter, lube etc for $26.08 otd, got tires balanced/rotated too, as part of the "lifetime" balance/rotation & road hazzard package when buy tires there.
All said & done 1hr 5min from check in to check out.
Gave me enough time to check out sporting goods dept. since needed a cold bluing kit and been a while since I stocked up 00 & slugs, and since I'm down to few boxes.
Fuckmefunny, been a long while since I needed to restock gear.
They didn't have the birchwood degreaser/cold blue/prep kits anymore, last I bought a kit iircc was $8.
But they did have a 3oz of birchwoods bluing for $8.86+tax, so I got a bottle cause I appearently leave the windows down quite often in my field truck and my truck shotgun got a bit rusty as a 90yo hasbeenhooker, even rusty she still fired all 8 shells as fast as I pulled the trigger & pumped the action.
No degreaser on the rack, but I got some acetone or some cleaner that'll work.
After that I checked the locked cabinet behind the counter cause they now lock up 00, slugs, turkey & hi-brass loads, regular birdshot & clay shells still on open shelves.
Wooooohooooooo they got several 25rd & 15rd boxes of winchester 00,
no sales associate around, so I walked around behind the counter so I can see the price tags cause tags was mixed up amongst the rem & fed 00/slug price tags.
My excitement turned to disappointment, fuckmefunny again, $29.96/box, last I stocked up 00 winchester it was $12&change+tax/25rd box.
Course I stocked up a fuckton of 00 estate & 4buck s&b back then from sportsmans, s&g or cabelas cause price & delivered to my front door it was less than $10/25rd box.
walmart does have a full case of rifle ammo, bunch of lever & bolt rifles, pump, auto, o/u & singleshot shotguns & few muzzleloaders in the case.
After seeing prices and quickly deciding I wasn't stockin up 00 & slugs today, I went to check out archery, no arrows or bolts on sale/clearence, but there are several compound bows & barnett crossbows on clearence.
Then my phone buzzed, checked it, truck was ready, walked around corner to tle, paid for oil change & bluing.
