Good deal. Yeah this is octagonal barrel and it’s been stored properly but not cleaned well. Think I’ll do itSounds like a pretty decent deal if it's in good/great shape.
I've seen the winchester pumps with 20" to 24" octagon barrels at yard sales & swap meets and in a few pawnshop/gun stores around the state,
some are decent condition and some are rough.
Prices from around 350 to 1500

Yeah she’s early 70’s. She and her husband were both widowers. So they brought kids into the marriage late in life. She knows nothing about guns but some of the stuff that his kids wanted she’s trying to get rid of fast to just be done with it. I think it’ll be fare for everyoneI had the successor to that, the Model 61, and that thing was hella fun, a terrific little plinker. If it’s serviceable, $400 is a decent price; you get a fun little rifle without feeling like you screwed a little old lady out of it.

No no. This is the only gun not claimed. She’s checking with one last step kid to see if they want the gun or the money from the sale of it. Sorry, should have clarified. She is not like that at allWoah.
So, she's selling his guns that he had promised his own children?
I don't think I'd think very well of my stepmom for selling a firearm my recently departed dad had taught me to shoot with. Jes' sayin.
That has nothing to do with you, and if offered I'd buy it too, but his kids are going to be rightfully pissed.
The way I see it, is if he gave it to them, they'd already have it, or it'd be in his will of whom it is to be given too.Woah.

For sure! Agreed.Well, that's good, but it doesn't always happen like that.
I've known of several situations that weren't, and some dude trusted his wife with "you know when I'm gone I want Bob to have my guns" but never bothered to put it in writing, and then when he died 'ole Bob got the shaft from his stepmom that was only married to his 85 yo dad for 4 years. I'm sure most of you know of several as well. A few of us might have even had something like that happen to us.
That's why it's important for guys like us to put things in writing and have a will. Anna Nicole ain't the only one that didn't marry just for love.
