I've never had the tenders chewy unless they were under cooked and even then? You've got a helluva wall hanger for sure
#4 in the books. This was the only picture I took unfortunately.
Medium sized doe walked into view and walked right out like she owned the place. Circled back and I stuck her @0650. Looked for blood for almost 20 minutes before I found a spot. Marked it and ended up tracking her 127 yards straight line to point of impact. Double lung through and through too. Never found my arrow even with the lighted nock.
I set a timer on my watch for 20 minutes after the shot before I left the blind. I have a feeling I may have pushed her though. Once I got on the blood trail, I found a shit ton of blood. Found 3 places where I could tell she went down then another blood trail. Is 20 minutes enough?

I passed on a mother daughter combo Sunday morning. Momma was yuge but she still has a fawn tagging along head down not aware of anything in this world.
Gorgeous 6pt came out about 15 minutes before shooting time ended. He ended up walking by close to 10 yards away. That took some patience. If he is around December 8th, I would gladly have him on the wall and in the fridge.
Headed out tomorrow AM and this weekend to try and fill my last doe tag before rifle season starts. I need to get to the club at some point this weekend to foul bores and check zeros on the few I'll hunt wit this year.
