First Suppressor

Might have some miracle baffles...but 1.1" OD on that compared to 1.5" OD on every other 5.56 can I checked, plus generally another inch in length, gives up LOTS of volume.

I don't have one but the Omega 36m claims to handle all the calibers. I want one that will work with a tri lug for 9mm.

I have a 36M and love it. My original plan was to get it to give me the most coverage to start, then get a dedicated 30 cal but have honestly not felt the need to get a dedicated 30 cal. I think if I were to get another can or two, it would still probably be this just because it is so universal.

Thinking of getting my first can this year.

Is there any reason to go to a place that has one of those SilencerShop computer kiosks? I feel like Sooner Pawn in OKC has one of those if I remember correctly.

And if I am understanding correctly, I can get a 1/2x28 can for my AR but I could also use that same can on my Taurus TX22 which is threaded the same, and my Savage mk2 rifle.

I recommend it. I used one on my last can about 3 weeks ago. The dealer had it in his stock, but we still used the kiosk. The approval came back in 3 days after receiving the submition, 2 if you don't count the New Years holiday.
My best guess is the ATF get so many submissions from Silencershop, they feel like the application is done right (fingerprints meet their requirements and form 4 is filled out correctly) that they do a quick NICS check and if that come back clean then it gets approved. Then it could be in my case that they get the app. and say oh him again and rubber stamp it. Maybe being a frequent flyer does have its perks.

I'm starting to have serious psychological side effects for my cans taking 3-4 months to be approved. I don't get it.

If I were in your position, I would call the ATF processing center and ask if you could speak to the examiner that was assigned your application and ask if they were still waiting on something else from you that you didn't know about or what else might be holding up the approval. It can't hurt to try. Have you had issues in the past with slow approvals?

Yes, the kiosk not only makes things super easy, you end up with your atf account and any and all nfa thingys you get afterward they’ll email to you. I got a tax stamp from the SOT and the atf emailed me the same as well. It was easy

On paper it sounds like that works, but Centerfire and Rimfire 1/2-28 thread is not the same length, and most Centerfire cans nowadays are not fully serviceable like Rimfire cans. Rimfire is very very dirty with fouling and leading and need to be cleaned a lot more often than Centerfire cans so the rule of thumb is to not shoot Rimfire through a Centerfire can.

It that is the case then shooting a centerfire sub sonic cast or regular cast round could also be dirty.
