I want a side by side. 4 seater. Local powersports store carries CFMOTO and the 4 seaters look very nice. I mainly want one to cruise around town in and take to the mountain trails. I have no plans whatsoever to go to sand dunes. Has anyone bought a CFMOTO and liked it or hated it? I can get a 800 or 1000 4 seater for around $13,000 I think. That is the model that has a dump bed which I think could be utilized later if we get some property. I’m also open to suggestions on shopping around for different brands I just wasn’t sure if anything else could beat CFMOTO price tag.

I will also travel some distance if a powersports place has great deals somewhere else in the state that y'all personally know about.

Thanks OKBALLS!

Don't know about the CFMOTO. I'm on my 4th Mule. I've had two diesels and two gas models. Current one is a 2023 4010 Trans 4x4. Mules won't win any speed contests but they are working sonsabitches. We use ours all the time for hauling crap around our place. I do like the ability to switch between a 4-seater and 2-seater. Usually just keep in 2-seat configuration because it's mostly used for work.

First one I had was used for snowplowing our 1/2 mile driveway in the mountains of CO. I also used it for hauling firewood around the property because it could get into places a pickup couldn't. They're a little over $13k, though. We have a few upgrades on ours...think it was $16k and change.

I think the most important thing to consider is the service support for whatever you buy. I saw these are made in China or maybe Mexico since they opened a new plant there in 23. Parts availability is always a concern. Apparently they've been around for a long time so one would think their supply chain would be well established. I understand the appeal considering the price differential between mfgs. like Kawasaki or Polaris. I'd talk to your local dealer and ask them what kind of turn around time there would be if you were to blow the engine or trans. Hopefully they would be honest about it.

It’s probably pretty good ish for awhile but you will definitely need to wrench on it. It won’t be like a Polaris or Kawasaki. It’s probably good for toodling around like a golf cart. We had some neighbors with one and they would always drive on the hardball but whenever they’d go off road in the field behind us it was a dog. He was always working on it to get it running and then tried to sell it when he moved. I don’t think anyone bought it.
But if you’re gonna do the maintenance and mechanic-ing, you can find a used Polaris or Kawasaki or something too.

Maybe I’d be better off looking for a Polaris then. I figured it being so affordable would mean I’d end up spending more money in the long run.

Thanks for the input guys!

I’ve heard the side by sides you get at stores like tractor supply and Atwood’s are absolute garbage.

I’m not sure what shotgun shells and Philippine firearms have to do with side by sides though.

My Mule FXT is going on 9 years I think. Two things amaze me. I can’t believe I have had it that long, and I have no idea how I got along without it. Like Corgi Rancher said it won’t set any land speed records, but unless I’m running between parcels at the ranch I rarely go over half speed anyway. I love the load capacity of it and it pulls my big utility trailer like a champ.

Edit: If you have a passel of yunkins the Mule Pro will carry a bunch of them depending on how you stack them in. Plus it rides like my grandmas Caddy

Probably so.

My experience with chinese equipment is the couple of atv's I got for my niece & nephews. The engines ran good for over a year before they wore out, did have to work on wiring & reinforce the frames & front suspentions within a week of buying.

I saw the one he's talking about yesterday and thought of you, so I looked it over. It's electric.

I didn't think you'd be interested.
