I got one for the .30-30 today identical above but 6 slots. No pictures yet as I can't decide on a RRP Clover Peep like the .44 or a 3-9 Leupold for it.

I know optics on a lever gun are blastomy, but I may have a 150 grain load pushing close to 2500 FPS, so.....

Not an issue in my opinion. I’m thinking about mounting some glass on my JM Stamp Marlin 336.

Mdl 94 AE was made specifically so a fella could mount a scope…so there’s that. You wouldn’t be wrong or looked at sideways.

This whole tactical lever gun is funny to me. Not because it's now a thing, but because I was making fun of some guys back around 2007 who were making ARs with all sorts of crap hanging off them. To mock them, I cobbled together a bunch of crap like a red dot, comp, lazer and placed it all on a model 92 Winchester saddle ring carbine.... I will search for the picture, if I can find it..... I was soooo ahead of the times and all I was doing was making fun of them!!!

So far, so good. I got it pretty cheap and it has a BDC reticle my app has in it. it worked really well with the factory stuff.

Turret caps are plastic, but pretty solid. Turrets can be reset to zero. Glass is clean and clear.

I’ve seen several models on sale for cheap in the past and it got me curious to hear a first hand report. I’m glad you’re liking it, I may pick one up if I see them on clearance again.
