Tactical Goodies Store

Depends on what kind of tactical gear you want, lots of security & le tac gear shops in the metro, google security and law enforcement stores in okc.

I've bought gear from these two shops.
Top tier tac on douglas in mwc.
Spec ops on portland in okc.

Only milsurplus shop I can think of in metro is brigadoons surplus on sunnylane in del city.

Hell I've seen lots of milsurplus & tac gear at swap meets throughout the state & yard/estate sales/fb market place 50mile radius around the metro,

hell lots of stuff on market place throughout the state, and kansas, texas, arkansas

I just order it online or find what I want on ebay. What are you looking for?

I want a couple three slings, but I need one with a clip on the front and a QD on the rear and one with a QD on the rear and front and an mlock adapter.

I want decent stuff but I don't want to get all kitted up. Just some slings I can pull tight to keep it secure while climbing into and out of elevated stands.

The magpul stuff I see on Amazon gives me the willies. Bad reviews, like it might be fake, and magpul throwing up their hands about 3rd party sellers etc.

I'm glad you responded. Specific question for you. What do you think of single point? Is it worth the trouble to take everything apart to put the adaptor on the lower?? What's your preference? 2 or 1?

Gracias!

Anything else I need to know?

I’d just get some Vtac slings. They’re simple and easy. I get them from Brownells for like $45 each. I’ll get the hardware from them or PSA or PA. PA might also have Vtacs for the same price or less. There’s no reason to get
Widgety bullshit slings like from magpul or these boutique expensive places. BFG slings are good but not as good as
Vtacs IMO.

I don’t use single point slings. They are especially not good for walking with. I use two point slings that adjust like Vtac or BFG. Or I make my own. That’s all the Vtac and Vickers slings are, shit they made on a team and then said “hey, I can make money selling these”, so they did.

A battle/war belt is always good to have for mags, widgets, a dump pouch for snacks and water, and to carry a pistol on.

+ 1 on what jevapa said.

I hate single points, great way to hit yourself in the nuts and drop your rifle randomly.

I have a BFG padded sling, and while the cushiness is nice, I don’t love the sling overall.
I do like the ferro concepts slingster. Cheaper, wide, movable padded part, good build quality, less bulk, same principle of operation.

If you’re worried about getting fakes on Amazon, just buy the blatant knockoffs. I’ve bought krydex and tacticon knockoffs of the slingster for 1/4 of the price, and they’re not bad at all. Have held up so far.

I’ve wanted to try out Edgar Sherman designs as well, they look pretty close to the BFG I padded but way cheaper. Haven’t gotten around to it though.
