Only at Shot have I seen any Pedersolis that you can hold
I'd really like to lay hands on one, cause I'd like to own one, but I wanna touch it first.

You'll like it, I put a marbles 2.5" tang on my 1895 cowboy so I'd have a functionable long range buffalo repeater if I ever got caught in a stampede. My desire is to take this out to 500 yards on a full size IPSC target. When I spoke with Montana Vintage Arms they recommended a Sharps Vernier mid range peep with a Winchester 1885 base and a MVA combination front sight. My wife is going to kill me because every weapon I purchase needs some type sight, base, or rings.
There is not a tang safety nor a rebounding hammerQuestion for OP, does this have a safety and rebounding hammer?
This is the front sight I’m looking at. I need to call Montana vintage arms to verify the sight will work with a peep and the OEM rear sightYou'll like it, I put a marbles 2.5" tang on my 1895 cowboy so I'd have a functionable long range buffalo repeater if I ever got caught in a stampede.
Course I kept the standard front sight cause I use the standard marlin buck rear sight mostly.
I had to drill & tap one hole in the rifle's tang for the sight to mount correctly.
I've lobbed my hunting load (wheelweight 425gr gc .460 ranchdog @ iirc 1780) out to a hotwater tank @ est. 500 (old style back to target bend over look between your knees range estimation).
Sure it'd go much much farther, but after 24 rounds off a bench it's got a recoil bite a lot more than my 300wm.
Yeah, but can you help John Wayne shoot bad guys with an Eyetalian rifle, or are you limited to helping Clint Eastwood in spaghetti westerns? The Italians, though, have a little different market and a higher sales volume so they can charge a little more. Pedersoli, Chiappa, and Uberti all have nice rifles.
Those are $50 cheaper, thanks for the heads up. I have a few deals working currently and if everything goes to plan I’ll have to prioritize my wants listDixie has a bunch of vernier options without breaking the bank. I always preferred the Soule type over the Marbles if you’re going to be shooting across the range.
