Wife and I used to always go to hibachi on Christmas Eve with friends. The baby is getting in the way of that this year.

She is really wonderful 80% of the time, honestly. But most nights are a struggle. I think being so great most of the time makes the rough nights even harder.First kid sucked. Second kid was a dream. Been sleeping through the night since they were 3 months old.

I’ve been keeping a sharp eye out for rabbits recently, hoping to pop a few, zero luck. We’re overloaded with squirrels though.Fried rabbit/chicken with boxed mac and cheese. Both of my grandmas would make this all the time. I skipped the gravy, but darn fine meal.View attachment 10352
I got lucky, they’re thick at my place this year and me and my brother got after them a couple times. But tonight was the last of my stash. Super mercados usually carry rabbits if you really get to jonesing. Fried squirrel is great too.I’ve been keeping a sharp eye out for rabbits recently, hoping to pop a few, zero luck. Dude same! I took the kids sledding and came back and my wife had a whole chili cornbread spread! Amazing
My dad said they ate a lot of squirrel when he was a kid. When Dad was in the seventh grade, Grandpa got transferred from NE Oklahoma to SE Oklahoma, and they had to spend some time living in a rent house in town while they looked for a new home. The rent house was infested with rats; Grandma said the dressed squirrels looked too much like the rats and wouldn’t have anything to do with them after that.I’ve been keeping a sharp eye out for rabbits recently, hoping to pop a few, zero luck.
