What do you 3 (you know who you are) think of these for a 300 BKL just for plinking or shooting a few hogs? I'm not going to be doing anything spectacular. They're run of the mil PSA lowers.

I think it’s a backhanded slap to JPE. I think he has a predisposed bias against them. Makes me wonder how much time he’s spent behind one. My JP has a great trigger, very accurate and one of the softest shooting AR’s I’ve ever shot. It’s a little heavy with its thermal dissipator, but other than that it’s great.

That's great. I'm not an AR guy though, so I have no idea what you said, exactly. 😎

CMC triggers are good but if you’re gonna buy a cartridge trigger, I highly recommend an AR Gold. Best cartridge trigger out there and maybe best overall. Non-cartridge trigger is a LaRue MBT2S. It’s $115 and outperforms all the others including Geissele, IMO. If LaRue had been making triggers when we changed to Geissele, we would’ve been using LaRues.

The CMC trigger is a good drop in. J.P. and Chip McCormic did drop ins about the same time. It was a real case of parallel development. Neither knew the other was doing it and they are very similar. Both are really good drop In packs. Chips patent hit first and John pays CMC a fee for using a drop in. Both are good.

Yeah, AR Gold is a great drop in but they know it and price it accordingly. First guy to start running a Gold was our buddy Darst.

Those CMC's are like 139 bucks. If you guys think it's okay for backyard plinking that's good enough for me. If you think I need something better, I'm open to suggestions. What I don't know about AR platforms would fill a book about AR platforms.

I'm honestly looking for help. I seriously know next to nothing about them.

I say get the CMC and be very happy. It's a good price point for what you gain!
I agree, it’s a good trigger. If you go to non-cartridge, price and performance is on LaRue.

Done.

I love this place.

I'll be back for more AR advice.

I only own 2. I picked up a Colt 6920 about 20 years ago, before they got too expensive to purchase. Shot it once the day I brought it when I got home and put it up. Haven't shot it since. Gonna change that.

I had murf's put a quad rail on it and it's too heavy. I need to replace that as well at some point. Need something way lighter. That will come later.

Get whichever one you want and I'll put it in for $Free.99. You just gotta drive to me.

I just might take you up on that. I don't think we're that far apart.

I don't have the lowers in hand yet. My FFL has them and he lives in Coweta. Not sure when we're gonna get together, but I'll holler back at you when I lay hands on them.
