I think it’s a backhanded slap to JPE. I think he has a predisposed bias against them. Makes me wonder how much time he’s spent behind one. My JP has a great trigger, very accurate and one of the softest shooting AR’s I’ve ever shot. It’s a little heavy with its thermal dissipator, but other than that it’s great.
CMC triggers are good but if you’re gonna buy a cartridge trigger, I highly recommend an AR Gold. Best cartridge trigger out there and maybe best overall. Non-cartridge trigger is a LaRue MBT2S. It’s $115 and outperforms all the others including Geissele, IMO. If LaRue had been making triggers when we changed to Geissele, we would’ve been using LaRues. What do you 3 (you know who you are) think of these for a 300 BKL just for plinking or shooting a few hogs? I'm not going to be doing anything spectacular. They're run of the mil PSA lowers.

The CMC trigger is a good drop in. J.P. and Chip McCormic did drop ins about the same time. It was a real case of parallel development. Neither knew the other was doing it and they are very similar. Both are really good drop In packs. Chips patent hit first and John pays CMC a fee for using a drop in. Both are good.
Yes
Yep. And a couple dudes from Surefire.Yeah, AR Gold is a great drop in but they know it and price it accordingly. First guy to start running a Gold was our buddy Darst.
I agree, it’s a good trigger. If you go to non-cartridge, price and performance is on LaRue.I say get the CMC and be very happy. It's a good price point for what you gain!

I only own 2. I picked up a Colt 6920 about 20 years ago, before they got too expensive to purchase. Shot it once the day I brought it when I got home and put it up. Haven't shot it since. Gonna change that.
I had murf's put a quad rail on it and it's too heavy. I need to replace that as well at some point. Need something way lighter. That will come later.
