Think .30-06 vs .308. With the right powder and barrel, you can push a 140 class bullet about 150-200 FPS faster on the PRC vs Creed. I think I heard the PRC called a 6.5 Creedmoor Magnum and that kinda fits.
Berger has that 156 grain Elite Hunter EOL and I really wanted to try it. You just can't get the speed with it in Creedmoor. You run out of case volume for one as it's a looooong bullet and unless you have a Tikka or build a Creedmoor on a long action, you'll never get them to feed unless you single feed it.
Recoil feels just like a Creedmoor loaded warm in my opinion. Nothing like the '06 vs .308.
Big down side on factory 6.5 PRC's is they build them in a short action. You're limited to about 2.970" COAL to feed in the internal mag. You're handicapping yourself if you handload. I'm jumping that 156 .114". I'm a good 1/4" down past where the shoulder meets the case. This may not be as big of a deal if you subscribe to the 95% case volume theory.
Killing wise, I have yet to take anything with it. Time will tell. Ultimate Reloader killed a bunch of critters in South Africa with a 6.5 Sherman Short (very similar) using this bullet. Most were bang flops. I would assume a bigger faster bullet can't do too much worse than a Creedmoor
