Today would be a good day to go your nearest 500+ yrd. range and work on your hold offs. You would likely have it all to yourself. If you're trying to go out to a mile, you might have to point towards the next zipcode.
This day sucks! My radio has been going off non stop all day. A couple of trucks have blown over on the highway. Electric lines down throughout the day causing fires, and various other bullshit wind related emergencies. Luckily, all the fires have been contained quickly which is a miracle. That’s on top of trying to protect my own property. I’ve had two storage unit doors bite the dust today, and we still have several more hours of the wind until it calms down.
I’m not sure there is ever a good day to drive to Austin, but today was definitely a bad day to try it. This crap is nerve wracking. And a forearm workout trying to keep this sled between the lines.

Based on my one experience doing that, I’m pretty sure there’s not, at least not on I-35. I tell you what, from DFW to Austin it was carrying about eight lanes’ worth of traffic, and it was nuttier than squirrel turds.
