Like many, I grew up in the early to late 60s watching many of the old westerns. One of my favorites was with Jimmy Stewart in Winchester 1873. I promised myself one day I would own one. It’s not one in a 1000 but it is a deluxe sporting model 1873. This one will be passed down to my oldest grandson after I’m gone.

Yeah, what cal? The Miroku Winchesters are pretty dang nice. I have a Uberti in 45 Colt that’s sweet but nothing like those.
Even if you don’t short stroke it they’re nice to shoot. You’ll really like it.

While I’m hossless for now, probably the rest of my life, my inner cowboy is tattooed on my soul. I’ve had an Uberti ‘73 carbine forever. It shoots absolutely lights out, but it looks like a fence post compared to that Japchester.

I’m digging your wood man! No homo. 😂

My desire is to take this out to 500 yards on a full size IPSC target. When I spoke with Montana Vintage Arms they recommended a Sharps Vernier mid range peep with a Winchester 1885 base and a MVA combination front sight. My wife is going to kill me because every weapon I purchase needs some type sight, base, or rings.
