Lpvo vs red dot?

I found a lpvo on sale and bought it for a AR15 but now I’m not sure I want to use it. I would like to have a AR that I can do anything with home security, or farther out but I’m not sure a 1-4 lpvo would work very well up close. I’m not much of a AR guy (yet) but know you guys know way more than I do

Are you closing one of your eyes or using it like a magnified optic on a rifle? If so keep both eyes open (wide). Get your correct cheek weld and power down to 1. Focus on your target with both eyes and line the reticle on target.

You probably have a 30mm tube. 24mm is probably the lens size

Package says the scope mount is 1", which is 25.4mm. Most LPVO are 30mm, or bigger.

I didn’t even pay any attention to it honestly he give it to me and said it was the one I needed he usually doesn’t make mistakes like that I’ll trade it out tomorrow

It's possible the scope is one inch, I would just think not on a modern LPVO. It should say somewhere.

I looked at it it’s 30mm thanks for pointing that out if I didn’t mess with it till Sunday I would of had to wait till Tuesday to replace it
