Tales from the Reloading Room

up graded to a better setup. Still a little ghetto. I’m sharing the space with the wife. My reloading room and her office.

How do you like your turret press? I am anxious to try mine out, I think it will be handy for leaving a few rifle calibers set up for loading bolt guns.

I was thinking of leaving mine set for 5
5.56 heavies, 308 heavies and 204 Ruger. That's the idea anyways, seems it should work. It's interesting there's very little discussion on turret presses. Seems everyone goes traditional single stage, to progressive.

That was my idea. I like it because i can set up all 3 dies and run with it. Minimal adjustment if any after setup. Its a single stage press that you don’t have to remove your dies.

I thought the club had a 1k range, Or your going to walk it out to 1k?
It does. It's just a bitch to set up by yourself and if you shoot anything but 600 or 1000, you completely close the range for anyone else wanting to shoot. This time of the year, they have events sun up to sun down 3-4 days a week.

I can't shoot this on the silhouette, so 300 is it. Foul Bore I can get 300/350/400 etc.

Worked on getting the bullet feeder set up on the 1050.

I will say, the Dillon Bullet Feeder (which Im setting up for 5.56 on my 1050) requires more assembly than my DAA MBF did (which is set up for 9mm on my 750), and the instructions kinda suck. I think I got it all assembled/installed and the dropper set. Will put power to it tonight or tomorrow and see how it feeds.

2/3 of a turn on the adjustment knob and we are feeding 55gr 223 perfectly. It fed 150ish all tip up, without it dropping any of those back into the hopper when it shouldnt.
Doing some more organizing and about ready to get this show on the road.
I know these pics look the same but I promise there's progress.
