Tales from the Reloading Room

Been a fairly productive day today:

1. Finished trimming, chamfering and deburring some one fired 30-30. These are a mixed lot of brass, so I'll use those as subs. My Starline order will hopefully be back before my rifle is.

2.Loaded up the remaining 20 rounds of Barnes 127 Grain LRX's for my buddies 6.5. I think I found a good group to test with at 43.2 Grains of StaBALL 6.5. Sub 10 SD. First 3 shots were a ragged hole then the last two another ragged hole but 1/2" to the left exact same windage. That one confused me some. Either way, I will run these remaining 20 out to 200 then 300 and see how they group. Almost finished with this job.

3. Last few months of brass scrounging has be with a shit ton of .308, 6.5, 5.56, 9mm and some other odds and ends. Decapping them all and sorting.

4. Buddy from the Gun Club gave me the mother load of .300 PRC last night. Going to start working on it as well.

Don’t know if it qualifies but I did snag two more single stages off Armslist. Didn’t need em but looked like a deal. Mec marksman with riser mount and storage accessories and a Redding Big Boss 2. A friend of mine mentioned he’d like to try the Mec press last week. Coincidentally one popped up for sale. I let him have the Mec and all accessories for $125 and I kept the big boss for $100. Just couldn’t pass the deal at $225 for the pair. Pictures are the sellers. Presses look damn near new. We are both converting them to breech lock bushings. I might buy the primer dispenser slide for the Redding.
